K-II (K2) EMF Detectors

Nothing says Ghost Hunting Tools like the K-II EMF detector.

Nothing throws non Ghost Hunting people into a that’s “Junk/Broken Technology” rant like the K-II EMF Detector.

The truth is the detractors do have a point, and so do the Ghost Hunters. Let’s try to sort through it.

I won’t get into the whole history and such of these devices, but the entire purpose of them was to detect potentially dangerous EMF radiation.

The truth is there’s a lot of bad, overly sensitive, non working ones out there. The very first ones we had purchased were indeed “broken” and “overly sensitive.” A simple sneeze and it went up from green to yellow. Watch out for ones that say things like they are calibrated to detect ghosts or spirits. Buying ones that said that was a mistake we made.

I returned those and bought new ones from a different seller and these seem to be significantly more in line with my other Tacklife EMF meter.

According many of the detractors, the K-II meter’s big issues are:
1) It’s a single axis meter. (It needs to be “waved around” to get a complete environmental reading).
2) It’s unshielded (so any magnetic field can set it off, from Cell Phones, Wifi, and pretty much any radio signals).
3) It’s not very precise in it’s reading since it’s just a series of LEDs that go off and not an actual value.

My answer to the detractors is, they are 100% correct, and if I was using it to determine if an environment was safe to be in, I would probably cringe in the corner out of fear of getting microwaved by all the surrounding electromagnetic fields, precisely because of the reasons they listed.

They miss the point of how the K-II is used, at least, how we use it. It’s detects the fluctuation and broad changes of the electromagnetic fields near the device. (Near being a relative term).

So HOW then does it work for us.

A good K-II at rest (sitting on a surface) over a period of time will usually not show too many fluctuations and certainly not enough fluctuations cause the meter to go from Green to Yellow or Red (assuming of course you don’t put a device that generates EMFs near it) while at rest. If at rest the meter starts to detect something, it means the electromagnetic field close to the meter is changing. Check around your area and see if you can see someone texting, making a phone call, using their cell phone or walkie talkie in the near by area. Look for a NON ghost related reason the K-II went off.

You can do Yes/No questions by asking whatever it is that has triggered the change to come closer/further away if the answer is yes is Yes or No, try to do the light it up to Yellow or Red depending on Yes or No, ect. It’s also a great time to see if you can do some EVP or video recording.

A good K-II meter will pick up varying EMF fields you will encounter while walking around with it. If you are moving around with it and it goes off, then you would want OTHER devices to verify the reading. Stop right where you are, and look at the environment for possible causes. Start an EVP session, and/or video recording. Place the K-II down and wait for the meter to settle on whatever reading it is giving you and try some yes/no work.

All in all the K-II is NOT an end all be all Ghost detection tool, it’s just a tool to let you see what’s happening in the environment near the meter.
