BooBuddy Interactive Bear (aka BooBuddy 2)
I’m fairly certain I never planned on writing about a Stuff Animal as an investigators best friend, but here we are….
First off let’s understand what BooBuddy is. It’s a cute teddy bear with a whole lot of Ghost Hunting equipment built in. BooBuddy has a built in EMF, vibration, temperature detectors, and asks a series of EVP questions.
There’s about 40 questions BooBuddy can ask, ranging from What color is the light in my tummy, to what is your favorite food.
When BooBuddy detects vibrations he laughs and says “That tickles”
When BooBuddy detects temperature changes he says “Brrr it’s cold in here, did you make it cold in here?”
When BooBuddy detects spikes in EMF, his paws light up with a red lights.
We used BooBuddy when we most recently investigated Pennhurst Asylum (See response he got https://www.jott-nyx-nj.com/index.php/2020/08/03/pennhurst-asylum-devon-building-candy-land/ )
Since this was the first time using BooBuddy, and it was a public investigation, we didn’t want to lave him to his own devices, but I am most certainly happy we got to bring him with us.
We have plans to leave him setup and running when we do Madison Seminary, he should fit nicely in Sarah’s Room there.
What I would like to see in BooBuddy v3 would be a voice recorder and maybe a “Pin hole/Nanny Camera” built in. This way he could be really be an all in 1 tool.
