Multi-Field Meters – Why they are important.

So you are walking around with a K2 and getting nothing, suddenly you get a quick spike out of nowhere. You get excited so you sit down and start asking questions doing a K2 session, you see your K2 flickering on and off seemingly randomly or in response to questions and think this is great!

You pull out your phone and realize it was not in airplane mode, someone was walking around with their radio squaking, a wifi access point is over head, any number of other things which cause the K2 to react. As a result the entire session and all your K2 hits up to this point are now in question and will probably have to be discarded.

This is where having a Multi Field Meter can really help you. A good multi field meter will be able to show you the kind of EMF field which is causing your K2 to light up. Being able to identify what kind of field you are reading on your K2 will help identify false hits.

The one pictured above shows you Magnetic field, Electrical Field, and RF (radio). When you see things like the RF field spike you really want to check your other equipment you and others around you may have.

Case in point we were at Fort Mifflin in the officer’s quarters. While in the officer’s quarters, another set of investigators joined us. They were both sitting on different sides of the room from each other while their K2’s were getting hits, seemingly in response to questions. Ours was sitting on the floor and had absolutely no activity. We pulled out the Multi field meter pictured above, and as we approached each of the other investigators, we saw the RF signal increased. We showed them the RF signal reading on the Multi-field meter, and asked them check their cell phones and see if they were airplane mode. Sure enough, neither of their phones were, and once they put their phones into airplane mode the K2 activity stopped.

While I wish they could have gone back with a great story about how they were interacting with an entity on their K2’s in the officers quarters, the reality is, they were just getting false hits due to their cell phones.
