Gettysburg, PA – Amazon Music Experience…

An odd experience we have not been able to reproduce. Amazon Music playing at 2x’s normal speed. While there’s posts about similar experiences in the Amazon music forums, this doesn’t seem to match any of them.

We have been using Amazon Music to stream music while driving pretty much since the inception of the service.

After driving around Gettysburg for a while, out of nowhere a song plays back at almost 2x’s the normal speed. Thinking it was some unusual remix. cover, or rerecording, we didn’t pay any attention to it. Then the next song came on, and it also played back at almost 2x the speed.

We thought it was strange, stopped the app, cleared the app cache, and restarted the playback… just to have it playback again at 2x speed.

Waiting till we were out of the “Park” area returned things to normal playback speed.

Certainly not something that anyone can say for certain was paranormal by any stretch of the imagination, but it’s something which we have been trying to force to happen again, but have not been able to which is what makes this interesting. Especially since there’s no obvious setting to adjust playback speed.
