Selma Mansion – October 2020 – Findings

As we mentioned in the introduction page this event was hosted by Lehigh Valley Paranormal Hunters and Kelly The Maven Medium.

The building is 3 floors plus a basement. Our investigation started on the second floor. We started off the night in the Rose Room. The rose room was the bedroom of the last known resident of Selma Mansion.

It’s asked “Do you remember us from last night” about 6 seconds in we seem to get a response.

We had to discard much of the recordings because of outside noise and whispering in the room by participants. However we do feel there was activity in the room surrounding Kelly and her abilities.

We had to discard our entire second session of recordings. There was a couple in the group that insisted on whispering in spite of being asked not to do so several times. We did get a few hits on our REM POD, but the recording did not capture it clear enough for us to post it.

The 3rd Session we went over the Nursery. We setup our music box. We actually had quite of a bit of activity on our music box. We had this very interesting session. The music box had been going off on it’s own, so we started doing an EVP session with it. There is whispering in the very beginning of the recording, and a shhh at the end, we know those whispers are from the same couple that caused us to have to discard our entire second session of recordings. We kept an eye on them to watch for them whispering, so we could note which whispers were from them and what was not.

Note Boo Buddy is saying, just before the music box goes off, Perfect thanks for making it colder. This means that Boo Buddy detected a temperature drop just before the music box started going off.

We noticed we caught some voices as well so here is the same session but this time with voices we could not explained amplified. We can’t make out the first, but it sounds like the second one is responding to by saying “that was nothing”


After a break we noticed a lot of individuals had left and we knew where everyone else was. We made our way to the 3rd floor, with us was Briana and Steve from LVPH and well things started to get really interesting.

We hear at about 4.5 seconds “Your Welcome”


Here there’s an extra voice that does not belong to any of the 4 of us. You can hear it at about 7.5 seconds.


Here we were talking about another location, at about 1 second in you hear another voice, sound like it saying “HUSH”


We had started up our Portal Box, but ran it without the noise reduction or reverb so it would operate a bit more like a regular spirit box. Keep in mind our Portal Box randomly hops between radio frequencies, and only between 76Mhz and 87.6Mhz so there is a very low probability of us picking up radio stations. The station changes every 120ms or 12 times every 1.2 seconds. It also performs a reseeding every 200 station changes. (16.67 seconds)

The sound of the white noise from the portal box drowned out many of our, the investigators, voices from the recording, but whatever we were talking about, something seems to have agreed. Listen in at 5.5 seconds:

One of our investigators started to feel uncomfortable and nauseous when the voices started coming through the box.

It’s worth noting, the name of the people in the room were Briana, Steve, Erica and Tim.

It sounds like it’s giving us a name.

Notice the last question that we aske here was can you say one of our names. We applied a noise reduction filter to the recording so it might be easier to hear. Here’s the session again with the noise reduction. Pay attention at 1:51 time mark.



It sounds like we caught another HUSH followed by something else:

We asked how many spirits are here with us and we seem to get an answer at about 10 seconds.

After this we went down the basement. The basement was relatively quiet. Two of the investigators started feeling nauseous while we were down there. There’s a condensation what seems like a drain pipe in the basement where the HVAC and some of the outside window wells can drain to a pump. The water flow was a few drops every minute when we started our session down there, but about half way through our session we all noticed the water coming out of that pipe significantly increased. As soon as we started wrapping up our session, the water flow decreased back to just a few drops a minute. It’s worth noting that since it does seem to be a drain from the window wells, it could be an outside reason for the water flow increase, but it was not raining that day, and we could not find a reasonable reason for the change in flow.

Our last session for the night the entire LVPH team and ourselves were sitting in the parlor room. We setup our music box on a chair so it could watch the center of the room. We set out BooBuddy and LVPH set up their spirit detection cat and flashlight.

While asking a spirit to turn on and off the flashlight, and we caught these voices. There’s one about 12 1/2 seconds and again more around 26 seconds.

Obviously it was getting late, and we were getting hungry and tired so our conversations in the room we were discussing food (Waffle House FTW).
Steve was talking about hash browns and it sounds like it might have gotten something’s interest. Right about 5 1/2 seconds we hear something.

It almost sounds like it’s asking “What’s that” after he mentions hash browns.

Briana asks how about a waffle….


It sounds like the spirit is not a fan of waffles.

Earlier we had seen one of the cat balls going off, so I took some time to try to see if we could debunk it, and caught this


There’s something there, we just can’t seem to make it out.
